Top 3 Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight

The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require having your won website, dealing with customers, refunds, product development and maintenance. This is one of the easiest ways of launching into an online business and earning more profits.

Assuming you are already into an affiliate program, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that?

Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.

1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you would want to promote a program that will enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest possible time.

There are several factors to consider in selecting such a program. Choose the ones that have a generous commission structure. Have products that fit in with your target audience. And that has a solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time. If you cannot seem to increase your investments, dump that program and keep looking for better ones.

There are thousands of affiliate programs online which gives you the reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to avoid losing your advertising dollars.

Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site. There is a great possibility that you are competing with other affiliates that are promoting the same program. If you start writing short report related to the product you are promoting, you will be able to distinguish yourself from the other affiliates.

In the reports, provide some valuable information for free. If possible, add some recommendations about the products. With ebooks, you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering.

2. Collect and save the email addresses of those who download your free ebooks. It is a known fact that people do not make a purchase on the first solicitation. You may want to send out your message more than six times to make a sale.

This is the simple reason why you should collect the contact information of those who downloaded your reports and ebooks. You can make follow-ups on these contacts to remind them to make a purchase from you.

Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor’s website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to you forever.

But when you get their names, you can always send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only.

Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. This also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers.

This strategy is a delicate balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch. If you continue to write informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity in your readers that may lead them to support you by buying your products.

3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are already successful with a particular promotion, you should try and approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for your sales.

If the merchant is smart, he or she will likely grant your request rather than lose a valuable asset in you. Keep in mind that you are a zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy about requesting for addition in your commissions. Just try to be reasonable about it.

Write strong pay Per Click ads. PPC search engine is the most effective means of advertising online. As an affiliate, you can make a small income just by managing PPC campaigns such as Google AdWords and Overture. Then you should try and monitor them to see which ads are more effective and which ones to dispose of.

Try out these strategies and see the difference it can make to your commission checks in the shortest of time.

Blogging can look deceptively easy and one of the cardinal mistakes many internet marketing rookies make is to underestimate the importance of maintaining a blog. You could launch the most spectacular blog and fill it with knock-them-dead content but if you do not work hard at maintaining it you will soon find yourself struggling to increase traffic to your blog.

Increasing readership to your blog takes more than merely posting an entry every now and then. Here are just 2 easy ways to maintain your blog and to increase traffic to your blog.

1- Post Unique Content

Every entry that you post on your blog should be short & sharp; informative & interesting. It should be able to stop your target traffic right in their tracks... literally. Dull, uninteresting posts will only ensure that your traffic keeps on moving and is not likely to ever return. You need to make that first impression count; your posts should be able to hook your readers during their very first visit itself. If you think readers will keep returning to your blog in the hope of finding something interesting the NEXT time, you are only kidding yourself.

2- Post Regularly

Whether you choose to post once a week or several times a week, the key to increase traffic to your blog is to maintain the regularity of your postings. Your readers will get tired of the guessing game if you post entries any time you feel like without any schedule. If they know that they can expect a new post from you every week, they will make it a point to come by every week. However, if it entails visiting your blog every day without knowing when they can expect a new blog entry from you, they may decide your blog just isn't worth it after all.

Social media marketing is all the rage right now. Facebook is sexy, Twitter is fast and easy, and MySpace - well, you're nobody without a MySpace page. So where does that leave good old blogging? A has been. But, not so fast. Blogging is still one of the best ways to make money online.

If you want to make money blogging in 2009, the following 11 blogging tips offer some sage advice on how to go about it.

To Make Money Blogging in 2009, Get Back to Basics

Blogging Tip #1: Create a Posting Schedule. It makes it easier for readers to follow you; indeed, look forward to your posts. If your schedule is erratic, it will take you that much longer - if ever - to build up a loyal following:

Posting Schedule Tip: Try to do so at least once a week.

Blogging Tip #2: Post from Experience. Did you know that information is the best selling product on the web? And, much of it is written in a "how to" format by authors who've experienced it first-hand.

So share your experiences with readers using the first person (ie, "I"). Readers will come to know, like and trust the info you provide. And, that will make it much easier for you to sell to them (which is the ultimate goal, after all). It will also build up your credibility as an authority in your niche.

Blogging Tip #3: Choose a Niche. Speaking of niche - choose a niche and stick to it. It's where the money is. There's so much info on the web that it's impossible to be everything to everybody. So, clearly define your niche and always post with their wants and needs in mind.

Blogging Tip #4: Interact with Other Popular Blogs in Your Niche. The most effective way to do this is by commenting on other popular blogs in your niche. Make your posts relevant. Don't just post to post. This is pointless and is a waste of time. Use the space to leave helpful, relevant feedback.

Blogging Tip #5: Use Good Grammar. I don't care how good your post is, if it's poorly written, you will lose credibility. Never underestimate the power of good writing.

Blogging Tip #6: Get a Clean Design. You don't have to be a web designer to have an effective blog. After all, readers come for your information. If design is not your forte, don't sweat it. Just use a clean design that's easy to navigate. A clean, simple design is like a little black dress - it's classy - timeless.

Blogging Tip #7: Get Plugins. Plugins are things like "most relevant posts", "most recent posts", etc. They encourage readers to hang around longer. The longer a visitor stays on your blog, the more likely it is they will buy from you - whether right now or at some time in the future.

Blogging Tip #8: Blog with SEO in Mind. What I mean by this is, center each post around a keyword phrase. And, the writing doesn't have to be bad to "force a phrase," just keep SEO in mind when you blog.

Many bloggers forget this. They tend to think in terms of articles or web content when they think of SEO. But, the concepts apply to blogging as well.

Blogging Tip #9: Don't Forget to Market Your Blog. Don't stop at posting. Get mileage out of your posts. Employ "sexy marketing", ie, social bookmarking and networking. Tweet them on Twitter, post them to Facebook and MySpace, stumble them on StumbleUpon, etc.

Social bookmarking and networking tip: These are time-consuming marketing strategies because you have to interact with these communities to make this type of marketing effective. So just keep this in mind when you start with them.

Blogging Tip #10: Personalize Your Blog. Be you; inject some of your personality.

Blogging Tip #11: Don't Give Up. Blogging is more time consuming than many think when they first start. This is why there are so many dead blogs on the web. But remember, success is a marathon, not a sprint. So don't give up.

If you keep these blogging tips in mind as you head into 2009, it could be your must successful year ever as a blogger.

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else''s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that''s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers.

These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips
:

10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson.
This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn''t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don''t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that''s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you''ve done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people''s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger''s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it''s sort of like your blog telling someone else''s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at http://blogcarnival.com/.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it''s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it''s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn''t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it''s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I''ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won''t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

With the introduction of the personal computer in the early eighties, the business world has gone through a complex evolution, giving birth to a new breed of entrepreneurs - the home-based workers. Technical advancements in the converging fields of computing, telecommunications and the internet further added to the explosion and success of doing business from the home.

Suddenly, there are no physical boundaries that limit individuals from working from home.

Furthermore, changes within the corporate structure due to downsizing, farming out and business process outsourcing makes telecommuting more dynamic.

Increasingly home-based enterprising individuals worldwide are suddenly finding out the huge benefits of running their businesses at homes.

Here are twelve reasons why people are becoming more intent in working from home:

1. Work at home gives you unlimited freedom from traffic congestion, office politics, and best of all no more boss to watch over you. An added incentive is that you can wear anything you want because you are working from the comforts of your home.

2. A work at home business gives you additional opportunity to save since you do not have to commuting to work.

3. Creating your own home-based business means you have all the time to set-up your own income-generating opportunities either by selling goods or providing services.

4. Running a business from your home is more affordable as there is no extra expense of operating and maintaining a separate business location.

5. A home business has many tax advantages because you can deduct a part of your operating and depreciation expenses on your home as a legitimate business expenses,

6. A home business gives you more quality time for your family. One of the compelling reasons to put up a home based business is the fact you work your own hours - you are own BOSS! You get to set your own schedule for the hours you want to work.

7. Operating your own business offer you first-hand experience in various areas of operation: marketing, promoting, sales, strategic planning, business development and research. You don't have to give up your present job, as long as the business does not interfere with it.

8. Home businesses are the new and creative money making opportunities today. You can now use your creativity to come up with niche products or services for money making. This is how a lot of today's big businesses get started; they were at the right place at the right time with the right business opportunity.

9. No more worries! Having your own business means you never have to worry about receiving your walking papers from your employer. The burden of worrying about job security disappears because you are now in business for yourself.

10. It feels good to be in control of your personal life and destiny. Being an entrepreneur is sufficient motive to strive for excellence in his or her business. Confidence and pride is a great motivator, the more successful you get the harder you will want to work and push the envelope in order to achieve your goals.

11. Financial gain is the most obvious reason why people start a business. The corollary gain, however, is the sense of sense of security financial gain bring into your life and the things you enjoy doing.

12. However, if your home based business turns out to be a runaway success, retiring early is not a bad idea at all. It would be the icing on the cake to be able to retire early than your peers.

These are just some of the persuasive reasons why it is advisable to start your own business, home based or otherwise. Rather than laboring away on a 9 to 5 job, there are many other opportunities of earning money and at the same time provide you with freedom and resources to enjoy life with your family and friends.

1. Choose a well-known, reputable company that has a track record of success

Some people think that if a company is well-known and has been around for awhile, that it has saturated the marketplace and has no room to grow - WRONG! A company that has been around for awhile knows has done so for a reason -- people like its products and continue to buy over and over. They know how to start a home-based business and are willing and eager to share it with you.

2. Make sure they offer mentoring

If they don't, run the other way. A company that doesn't help its people to become successful does not care about its people and will not last. The most successful companies offer step-by-step instructions and a mentor to make sure you understand how to do it. They make it worth the mentor's while to help you learn how to start a home-based business by rewarding the mentor when you are successful

3. Be prepared to work at it

Don't fall for ads that tell you that you can make thousands with no work. You get what you put into it. Once you have "done your homework" and "paid your dues" you may be able to sit back and watch the money flow in, but first you MUST be willing to work to get to that position. You must be willing to learn how to start a home-based business and work at what you've learned.

4. Realize that you must advertise

You cannot generate business if no one knows you have a business. If you can't afford paid advertising, become proficient in finding and using free advertising

5. Be willing to give it time to work

If you want a consistent 5-figure income, plan to commit a minimum of a year to building your business. If you want a 6-figure income, it will take even longer. Unless you are bringing a downline with you, you will need to build one. Even if you have sufficient funds for massive advertising, it will take time to build up your downline. Many people quit just before they would have become successful - and the success they missed reverts back up the line to their sponsor.
